Eco-Therapy Adventure Camp
Kind Minds United is a proud sponsor of the local Eco-Therapy Adventure Camp. We raise funds to help at-risk youth attend the camp at reduced or free tuition. We have seen the direct results of this camp and believe every child that wants to attend should have the ability to do so.

Eco-Therapy and Nature as Healers
The Eco-Therapy Adventure Camp hosts 12 campers each session with the goal of building self-esteem, self-efficacy, and social skills. The camp is built on eco-therapy and nature-based therapy practices with Adventure therapy principles to immerse the campers in an outdoor experience that helps kids learn to healing powers of being in nature.
Adventure Therapy
The camp embraces the adventure therapy principle of “challenge by choice” and encourages campers to use a growth mindset to move out of their comfort zones and into growth. This mindset translates to all domains of their lives.
Who runs this camp?
The camp was created by two mental health therapists in 2021 as a direct result of Covid and it’s effect on youth in the community. Both Jayme Mahoney, LFMT and Tiffany Barry, LCSW-C knew they needed to give the youth direct, experiential support for their mental health. They focused on getting the kids outside, without technology to re-connect with the resources around them.
